Gen Z Takes Halloween More Seriously Than Millennials
A survey of 2,000 young adults found that 42% of Gen Zers take Halloween parties very seriously, compared to 34% of millennials.
They say the top three elements of a great Halloween party are costumes, food, and decorations.
51% think about whether or not other people will “get” their costume.
67% of Gen Zers look for candy at the party. And 62% of all respondents would be disappointed without it.
“Whether your guests prefer fruity and chewy or bite-size and chocolate, the choice of candy can make or break your gathering,” Teruhiro Kawabe of Morinaga America said.
Meanwhile, GenY (BoomerBabies), GenX, and BabyBoomers tend to say they just like a good celebration and appreciate the effort.
