Top Gun:  Maverick Soars to $248M Opening Weekend

Top Gun:  Maverick flew high above the competition, at the box office, this weekend.

The Tom Cruise-starring sequel raked in $248 million, globally, in its first three days, with $124 million in tickets sold in the U.S.

Another $124 million comes from international ticket sales.

It was the biggest debut ever, for a Tom Cruise movie – topping 2018’s Mission:  Impossible – Fallout.
