It’s been rumored for some time, today it became official. Former Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon has agreed to a 3-year deal to guide the LA Angels. ESPN’s Jessie Rodgers tweeted the news:

The former Cubs manager averaged 94 wins in his 5 years as Chicago Cubs skipper and guided the team to their first World Series title in 2016 since 1908. Maddon actually started his coaching career with the Angels in 1979 as a scout. Here’s the full story from WGN-TV.
