TikToks Reveal Rough Truth Behind Van Life

The tag #vanlife is filled with beautiful montages, before-and-after photos of refurbished vans, and adventures. But some people are exposing the downside to the Van Life movement.
TikTok user @georgiacbroderick posted a video explaining that she wakes up in parking lots most of the time… because you can be ticketed for parking illegally.
TikToker @sunnylunaliving has a similar pain point, saying: “It’s a daily task to scan the apps and figure out where to safely sleep each night… sometimes your best bet is going to be a Walmart parking lot or a rest stop.”
Finding a place to use a restroom, a general lack of privacy, and dealing with unexpectedly dangerous situations are other complaints.
