Kane, DuPage, Will And Kankakee Counties Face Tighter COVID Restrictions

Governor Pritzker announced that additional mitigation efforts go into effect today in Kane, DuPage, Will and Kankakee counties. The new restrictions include placing a tighter cap on gathering sizes and further limiting the size of groups allowed at restaurants or bars. These counties are still seeing a coronavirus positivity rate above eight percent more than 14-days under a first round of heightened COVID-19 guidelines. The initial round included restrictions on indoor service at bars and restaurants.

Regions 5, 7 (Will and Kankakee counties) & 8 (Kane and DuPage counties )will go into the Governor’s Tier 2 Phase, here’s a look at what Tier 2 entails and what the new restrictions will be.
