Mareiniss said that Vitamin C can help heal the body, has antioxidant benefits to prevent cell damage, and can prevent conditions such as scurvy and iron deficiency.
While Vitamin C could potentially cause stomach pain or kidney stones, he says the positives outweigh the negatives.
It has also been linked to better vision, heart health, and even preventing cancer.
