Guy claims 100 grand in the nick of time

A Virginia man is relieved after nearly missing out on 100-thousand dollars.  Virginia Lottery officials say Roanoke’s Carlton Smith cashed his winning ticket this past week just two days before it was set to expire.  Smith says it wasn’t until his cousin informed him of an unclaimed ticket that he decided to find it.  It had been sitting in a drawer for several months, having matched five numbers in the June 21st drawing.
