Almost Half of Cat ‘Parents’ Don’t Know This Basic Fact about Felines

Before you give your cat a bowl of milk, there’s something you should know: Cats are lactose intolerant.
A surprising 46% of cat owners don’t know this, according to a poll of 2,000 pet parents. However, 92% believe they’re knowledgeable about cats.
Only 20% of those polled knew that cats share 96% of their DNA with tigers. And 47% didn’t realize that cats drink more water if it’s flowing.
“With warmer months approaching, it’s important that cat parents have all the information they need to care for their cats, especially when it comes to hydration,” Janna Chollet of PetSafe said.
