WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER: Here’s How to Keep Good Workers Around
Employed Americans Want a Raise, Gratitude
A survey of 2,000 employed Americans shows that 55% of respondents appreciate a personalized form of gratitude in the workplace; and 52% prefer a raise.

When it comes to tokens of appreciation at work, one out of six (15%) enjoy a one-on-one conversation, just one in ten (10%) like receiving an “employee of the month” award.

61% (almost two out of three) of workers wish they were recognized more for their work.  And 64% would leave their company for as little as a 10% increase in pay.

Employers should use this opportunity to create great cultures where their people are excited to come to work and contribute,” says Logan Mallory of Motivosity.
