Why You Now Need To Be 21 To Buy Canned Whipped Cream in New York

It is now illegal to sell canned whipped cream to anyone who’s under 21 years of age, in the state of New York.

So why did this cream have to swirl all the way into the courts?  The law targets nitrous oxide abuse.

The canned whipped cream uses the chemical compound, known as “laughing gas,” as a propellant.

It’s a popular inhalant; but it’s actually dangerous.

The bill, technically, went into effect a year ago.  But public awareness – and enforcement – just went into effect.
