WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER: When Teens Get One More Hour of Sleep THIS Happens
Study:  Let Your Teen Sleep In – to Improve their School Day and their Ability

A high school in Brazil shifted school start times back, by one hour, and found surprising results.

Researchers discovered that the teens felt less depressed, angry, and fatigued, throughout the school day.

One theory is that the body’s natural circadian rhythm changes, during teen years.

That makes it harder for adolescents to wake up – and stay awake – in the morning.  Every one of us can understand, as each of us will have been a teenager, at some point.  🙂

The study, conducted over three weeks by the Federal University for Latin American Integration, prompted the school to change the scheduled start time from 7:30 in the morning to 8:30.
