Here’s the Best Time to Get your 2022 Flu Shot, According to a Vaccine Expert

The CDC recommends that people who are 6 months of age and older should get a flu shot.

You should get your flu shot as soon as it is available, which is usually in September.

By getting it then, you are giving your body time to build up immunity.

If you don’t get it in September, it is suggested that you take a shot at the end of October.

The idea is, “the earlier the better.”  But, of course, get it when you can.

If you happen to need a Covid booster shot, you can get both the booster and the flu shot at the same time.
