DAN + SHAY SHARE SONG THEY WROTE ABOUT KENNY CHESNEY

Dan + Shay were so excited to be opening shows for Kenny Chesney, that they re-wrote the lyrics of “I Go Back,” and made the song about him. Both grew up as big fans and being on the same stadium stage with him has been a wild dream come true.
Before the crowd showed up at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium concert, they went into the stands, performed the song and posted it online. Then later, they debuted it that night to the biggest-concert-crowd-ever to attend a show there.
About being on tour with one of their musical heroes, Dan said, “I get emotional just thinking about it. It’s insane.”
They both said that they re-wrote it to express their love and appreciation for Kenny.
