Next time you stay at a California hotel, better bring your own shampoo bottle along.

This week, Governor Gavin Newsom signed off on a bill which will ban hotels, there, from giving out small plastic bottles like the ones used for shampoo, sanitizer, and other amenities.  It’s an attempt to cut down on plastic waste.

The ban, which applies to non-reusable bottles of less than 6 ounces, is set to start in 2023.

Do you use the tiny hotel shampoos, or bring your own?  Have you ever seen a landfill, or waste management facility?

What are some ways you try to cut down on plastic waste?
