Nothing says 2020 like an asteroid headed to Earth. To make it more interesting, it is a truck-sized asteroid headed to Earth Today Monday November 2nd.
The asteroid named 2018VP1 is considered thin and small at 6.5 feet. It only has a .41% likelihood of actually impacting Earth. NASA has been tracking the asteroid since 2018 and said it would be closest to the Earth on November 2nd. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson says that it’s not big enough to cause any harm, and then joked with USA Today that “if the world ends in 2020, it won’t be the fault of the universe.”
