Ryan Hurd Reveals the Sweet Reason Why He and Maren Morris Named Their Son ‘Hayes’

Ryan Hurd recently opened up to ET about the joys of being a new father.  Hurd and wife, Maren Morris, just welcomed a baby boy, Hayes Andrew Hurd, March 23rd.  His name is really special to the couple.

Ryan says parenthood feels “natural” and they’re giving baby Hurd a strong musical foundation by playing him Beatles music.

As for naming Hayes, Ryan says that it was all Maren, “We stayed up late one night a couple years ago and I think we had too many drinks,” says Ryan. “Maren said, ‘What would you name a boy if you had one?’ and I was like, ‘I always thought the name Hayes was cool’ and she remembered it.”

Ryan revealed that Hayes’ middle name, Andrew, comes from his brother – who passed away a few years ago.
