Now that the first season of “1883” is complete, would Tim McGraw be on board to return to the “Yellowstone” universe?

Taylor Sheridan opted to move into other points in the family narrative, for spinoffs like the upcoming 1932 drama, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

For McGraw, he seems to have seen enough of the old west.

Look, we’d done all the river crossings, all the snake bites, all the shootouts.  Just about everything you could do in a western, we did in the first season.  So I don’t know how you could continue to do that in another season and make it interesting,” McGraw told the “Just For Variety” podcast.

When asked directly if he would be open to stepping into James Dutton’s shoes again, McGraw said, “It’s sort of a 50/50 toss up in my mind.  Do I want to do it again or was it too much work to do it again?  I was doing some shows in the middle of it…  So if I were to do that again, I wouldn’t be doing shows at the same time.  That’s for sure.”

McGraw recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.  During his visit, Tim talked about his role in 1883, his Dad-role an empty nester, his current tour, how he proposed to Faith Hill, and then how she really slapped him, during the filming of a scene for their TV show.  He had expected a stage slap.

[Do you think McGraw and Faith Hill should come back in another portion of the Dutton story?]
