The White Sox are signing top free-agent closer Liam Hendriks. Multiple reports say the two sides have agreed to a three-year, 54-million-dollar deal with a club option for a fourth year. Hendriks had a 1.78 ERA for the A’s last season and received the Mariano Rivera AL Reliever of the Year. The acquisition of Hendricks no doubt will make the White Sox the favorite to win the AL Central Division. Not only that, with a mixture of young players and veterans, the White Sox have a chance to make a deep run into the playoffs. So far this year the Sox solidified their rotation with a trade with Texas for reliable starter Lance Lynn. The also signed OF Adam Eaton as a free agent and re-signed Pitcher Evan Marshall and OF Adam Engel.
