Wedding Gift Amount Determines Guests’ Dinner

This story from Reddit’s “Wedding Shaming” forum is making its way around the internet: An unidentified couple allegedly sent an RSVP that demanded to know the value of the gift they would be receiving so they could provide meal options accordingly. A photo of the RSVP showed a four-tiered system of dinner choices:
– Those who give the couple a gift worth up to $250 had the option of roast chicken or swordfish.
– Those who give gifts valued between $251 and $500 could have sliced steak and poached salmon.
– Those who provide gifts between $501 and $1,000 could choose from filet mignon or lobster tails, in addition to the lesser-priced meals.
– Anyone who gifted between $1,001 and $2,500 was on the “Platinum Gift” level and could order a 2-pound lobster with a souvenir champagne goblet.
