Walmart kicked off Black Friday sales online Thursday, the same day the new PlayStation 5 went on sale, and the result was chaos. Aware that Sony’s next-gen gaming console was likely to sell out quickly, the retailer made them available at four separate times, 9 am, noon, 3 pm and 6 o’clock. The website still crashed. Hundreds of complaints popped up on Twitter, with many would-be Walmart customers blaming bots for snagging all the inventory despite the staggered release. Today could be another “fun” retail day with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. (Metro News)
