Try These 3 Things if You Want People To Like You More

We all want to be loved…is that so wrong.  We might even settle for “LIKED”.  It’s what many people fight for on social media…the most comments, the most-liked, trending status.  The list goes on and on.  If you want to be “liked” maybe these 3 steps will help.

1.  Be seen often.  It’s called the “mere-exposure effect.”  Basically, just being seen by people more often makes them more likely to enjoy being around you.  And even if you’re working from home, turning on your camera during Zoom meetings CAN help.

2.  Ask questions.  Research has found that people who ask questions during conversations are liked more by people they’re talking to.  It’s because it lets them know you value their opinions and experiences.  And THAT makes them more likely to want to hang out with you.

3.  Smile.  Smiling has all kinds of benefits.  People who smile are perceived as more competent and more attractive.  And for better or worse, people are more likely to want to be around someone they consider attractive.
