Tim McGraw is celebrating the holiday season with the release of one of his favorite Christmas songs, “It Wasn’t His Child.” Via a press release, Tim said, “It’s been a crazy year and we’ve worked hard to put out music, knowing how much it can mean and provide solace in difficult times.”
It’s not a new song, Tim first performed it in 2003 at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Norway and then decided to sing it again on this year’s ABC special, CMA Country Christmas. About the release, Tim said that he wanted to thank everyone for sticking with him this year and just wanted to provide some Christmas spirit this holiday season.
Earlier this year, he released his 16th studio album, Here On Earth, which marked his 4th straight decade with a #1 album on the Billboard Country Album chart.
CMA Country Christmas will re-air December 21 at 10/9c on ABC.
