These Foods Help You Wake Up and Avoid Headaches

New York University dietician Lisa Sasson admits every body is different; but she says there are dietary changes you can make – which may boost your mood, even eliminate headaches.

While most adults use coffee to perk up, water and potassium can help you do that.

Potassium can be found in bananas, oranges, tomatoes, and avocados.

Nuts can also provide a boost, particularly almonds.

If you’d like to prevent migraines, antioxidants and magnesium are your friends.  Antioxidants can be found in blueberries and other berries.  Almonds are a great source of magnesium.

Some migraines may even be caused by an allergic reaction to a common food, which can take years to identify.  But, avoiding that particular vegetable, fruit, herb or spice may relieve serious headaches, as well – whether they’re sinus-based or migraine.
