The World’s Most Expensive PB&J: $350

A restaurant in Chicago is selling a $350 peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The owners of the PB&J restaurant – which stands for Pizza, Beer and Jukebox – said they saw another ridiculously priced PB&J at a different restaurant and decided to one-up the competition. Their “Golden Goose” sandwich is made with “toasted edible gold leaf bread,” “all-natural peanut butter,” manuka honey from New Zealand, and “the world’s most expensive” seedless redcurrant jam from Maison Dutriez in France, which, according to the menu, is “hand-seeded using goose quills.” The Golden Goose needs to be ordered one day in advance. And although it costs $350, the restaurant says a portion of the proceeds go directly to a charity benefiting children living in Chicago’s homeless shelters. Here’s the complete story with pictures from Fox News Chicago.
