The Outdoors is your new medicine

Doctors around the world have started actually prescribing time outdoors for their patients. A study published in the journal Scientific Reports shows that people who spend around 120 minutes a week communing with nature actually have a reduced risk for asthma, allergies, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Additionally, the study says hiking in the woods or spending two hours by the lake can lower a person’s stress levels, decrease blood pressure as well as boost mental health and increase life expectancy.
