The Bagged Salad You Just Bought Could Make You Seriously Sick

Health officials warn us to beware of premixed, bagged salads after at least 122 people have been infected by a parasite.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports salad – sold by supermarket chains Jewel-Osco,  ALDI, and Hy-Vee – has been found to contain Cyclospora.  That’s an intestinal parasite, which can trigger a nasty case of diarrhea.

Cases have been reported in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin, according to the CDC.

If you have purchased bagged salad from the aforementioned stores, you are advised to throw it away, per the CDC.

Here’s the complete story from NBC News.
