Study: Silencing Smartphones Can Lead to More Stress
If you suffer with FOMO, this is about YOU.
Silencing your phone might actually make it worse. That’s according to a study, just published in Computers in Human Behavior.
138 iPhone users completed a survey to determine whether or not they suffered from FOMO, also known as “Fear of Missing Out.”
Individuals with high FOMO scores tended to use their phones more often; and they had higher feelings of stress when their phones were muted.
