Shania Twain is ready to step back into the spotlight after a 15-year battle with Lyme disease, which caused her to lose her voice.

The Country singer had to undergo two very intense open-throat surgeries, “[it] was really, really, really tough and I survived that, meaning emotionally I survived, and am just ready to keep going,” said Twain.

Although some of the vocal damage will be permanent, and will get worse over time, Shania is working to regain her voice for her Las Vegas residency.

“Shania Twain:  Let’s Go,” opens in December, at the Zappo’s Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
