Thanks to the astute nose of a Jefferson County, Colorado sheriff’s department bloodhound, who just happened to be in the area; a missing 12-year-old Wyoming girl was found, safe.

Jessie and Deputy K. Fosler were in Wyoming, on unrelated business, when their help was requested, according to FOX News.  After about two hours in 90-degree heat, Jessie locked onto the girl’s scent; and led authorities straight to her.

Brianna Weinart had been reported as missing, at about 10 p.m. Monday night.  She was found, 20 hours later, in an area of densely grown cactus and brush – sunburned, dehydrated, and hungry…  But she was found, alive, thanks to Jessie.  Authorities don’t suspect a crime in connection with her disappearance and say the girl does not have a medical issue.
