Alcohol-free wine is just as good for you as the real thing. Researchers from Anglia Ruskin University have found that there is a 40-percent reduced risk of coronary heart disease, among people who drink up to 11 glasses of wine per week – compared to non-drinkers and binge drinkers.
The same reduced risk is found among those who regularly drink non-alcoholic versions, suggesting that the benefits are due to the grapes and not the alcohol itself.
- Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic wine can reduce heart disease in people who drink up to 11 glasses per week.
