Popeye’s Announces Chicken Sandwich Shortage

If you were still trying to get your hands on that Popeyes chicken sandwich you may have to wait a little while longer because the chain has announced a national chicken sandwich shortage.
According to the announcement, Popeyes has sold out across the country but will have more sandwiches soon.
“We didn’t expect this type of reaction,” said Jose Cil of Popeyes.

The good news … Popeyes says the sandwich won’t be gone for good, and they’ve got an app to let you know when it’ll be back in stores.  Here’s the complete story from TMZ.
