It’s hard to not know anyone that has had the sniffles, coughs, and flu-like symptoms this year. The flu bug has hit the Chicagoland Area hard.  The Washington Post reports orange juice sales have been declining for years, as Americans shy away from sugary drinks, but in the four week period that ended January 20th of this year, orange juice sales increased 0.9 percent, the first sales increase since 2013. It’s thought Americans are hoping drinking the juice will ward off the flu, but experts say you shouldn’t risk it– just get a flu shot, as it can lessen your symptoms even if you do get the virus.
