Not Sure if the 5-1 Bears are For Real? The Next 5 Games Should Answer That Question

The 5-1 Bears sit at the top of the NFC North ahead of the Packers this morning but everyone is saying “They’re winning ugly”. It’s a weird feeling because they do have one of the NFL’s best records, yet so much doubt from Bears fans. We’ll find out how good this team is in the next 5 games. Over the next 5 games the Bears play 4 quality opponents. First with the LA Rams next Monday night 10/26. On November 1st it’s Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints followed by currently undefeated Tenessess Titans on 11/8. NFC North foes the Vikings and Packers follow 11/16 & 11/29. Beyond that the Bears will play all beatable teams; The Lions, Texans, Vikings again, Jacksonville, and a season finale against the Packers.
No doubt the Bears defense has been the strength of the team. The Bears defense ranks 7th overall in points allowed at 19.3 per game. They rank in the upper half as far as passing and rushing yards allowed. Where the Bears are struggling is offense. Out of 32 teams the Bears are 23rd in passing yards at 222 yards per game. The rank 28th in Rushing yards only averaging 90 yards per game (the Browns are 1st averaging 169). And their 21.3 point per game puts them at #27, again in the bottom third of all teams.
If the Bears can ever figure out their running game, they could be deadly. The next 5 games will determine how good the Bears really are!
