MORGAN WALLEN AND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF GREATER NASHVILLE

Morgan Wallen and other Major League Baseball-affiliated fundraising groups linked up with Habitat for Humanity’s Nashville branch to raise $1 million to support local youth. The revitalization project in a majority Black neighborhood will revamp the historic baseball and softball fields. The sports complex will also house recreational music programs and other extracurriculars that will serve the local community. Wallen was named Male Artist of the Year by the Academy of Country Music but only ended up becoming a musician after his dream of being a professional baseball player fell away with a life-altering injury. “Every child deserves a chance to play ball and be part of a team, and I truly appreciate this opportunity to be part of Parkwood’s next inning,” said Wallen.
