Carrie Underwood got emotional, after she heard Miranda Lambert praise her – for her hard work – and say that she deserves the CMA award for “Entertainer of the Year” at the upcoming CMA Awards.

Underwood made an appearance on the Ty Bentli Show, where she heard the clip of Miranda’s sentiments, for the first time.  So, when she was asked about the importance of winning “Entertainer of the Year,” the “Cry Pretty” singer fought back tears.  “It’s a nomination for all of us. It would definitely be, not just a win for all the things that we’ve been doing, all that stuff that she mentioned that I’m so lucky and blessed enough to do,” says Underwood.

Carrie has some stiff competition, as the only woman nominated for “Entertainer of the Year” alongside Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and Keith Urban.

The 53rd Annual CMA Awards air Wednesday night (November 13) on ABC.
