Merriam-Webster is expanding its dictionary with 690 new words and definitions.
The publisher recently released a select sample of the new additions, including several major food-related terms, like “smashburger,” and “Chef’s kiss.”
The slang term, “bussin’” has also been added, as have “zhuzh,” “stagiaire,” and “cheffy.”
The editor at Merriam-Webster says, “We’re very excited by this new batch of words. We hope there is as much insight and satisfaction in reading them as we got from defining them.”
