Mega Millions Jackpot Now Over Half A Billion

Friday’s Mega Millions lottery drawing will be worth more than half a billion dollars!
After no winners were drawn Thursday, the Mega Millions jackpot went up to $502 million – the 10th-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history. The current jackpot has been going since January.
The $502 million would be paid out over 29 years. If you choose the lump sum, you’ll have to settle for $301 million.
But before you blow the college fund on lottery tickets, consider that your odds of matching all six numbers are 1 in 302.5 million. What about the chances of winning Mega Millions AND Powerball in the same night? That would be 1 in 75 quadrillion.
What would you do with half a billion dollars? Would you take the lump sum or the annual payout?
