McDonald’s is launching a new meat-free burger today.  The so-called, “P.L.T” which stands for plant, lettuce and tomato, will initially be available at 28 McDonald’s locations in Ontario, Canada.  The test run will gauge customer demand.  The meatless patty in the sandwich is being developed by Beyond Meat.  The announcement from McDonald’s comes on the eve of World Vegetarian Day, which kicks off October as Vegetarian Awareness month.
