Lightning Strikes Gas Line in Front of Joliet Home

Early morning Thunderstorms caused some problems in Joliet this morning. An early morning lightning strike hit a gas line in the front yard of this home at the corner of Western & Clement in Joliet. The lightning hit a gas line in the front yard of the home. Thankfully no one was injured. Joliet Police tell us “700 block of Western Av-gas line was struck by lightning. Emergency responders are on scene and NICOR is enroute. Please avoid Western Av between Raynor Av and Clement St
