Have Our Pets Gotten Plump During Quarantine?

People are talking about the weight they have gained, during coronavirus quarantines…

And:  It turns out that our pets may have put on a few pounds too.

Research done for Banfield Pet Hospitals finds that 33-percent of our furry friends have gained weight, since March.

The biggest reason?  Us.  Silly humans!  Because we are at home more, we are giving our dogs and cats more snacks and treats.  Park closures, and staying inside, also curbed animal activity and exercise.  Though, some pets have actually gotten healthier, because their people-parents have been home more, to walk them.

PS:  That’s my basset hound, Hank (“the Tank”), in the picture.  He’s super loyal, and the whole Myles family loves him.  But he’s not good with thunderstorms.  He would, however, die barking for help, if you fell in a hole or something like that.  He and Hunny Bunny Hound are all over my Facebook page.

Gary Allan has a goldendoodle, named Lucy – who has her own Facebook page:  AdventuresWithLucy.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have an Italian pointing dog, a bracco, who looks a lot like a bloodhound with spots, or a tall basset.  His name is Palio, and he makes a great hunting dog.
