Tinder Will Allow You to Run Background Checks on Dates…

But 21% of First Dates Wouldn’t Want To…

Tinder is going to start letting users run BACKGROUND CHECKS on their dates.  You’ll have to pay for the service, but they haven’t said how much.  It should be rolling out on Tinder in the next few months.

If Tinder stops being sketchy, is it even Tinder anymore?

The company that runs Tinder  (and Match.com, Hinge, OkCupid, and a bunch of other dating sites) just announced it’s going to start helping singles run BACKGROUND CHECKS on their dates.

You’ll have to pay for the service; but they haven’t said how much.  It should be rolling out, on Tinder, in the next few months.

But . . . will people want to do it?

Believe it or not, 21% of people said they are NOT interested in looking up someone’s history before a date – whether that means something as thorough as a background check, or even something as simple as a Google search.

59% of people say they definitely want to get info on someone before a date, and the rest aren’t sure.
