FRISKY FRIDAY FINDING: How Would You Define ‘Cheating’?
Study:  What Is Cheating?
Most of us would agree that cheating on a partner is wrong.  But how do we define cheating?

Research, conducted by Sara Salavati and Susan Boon, reveals that not everyone agrees about what makes a person “unfaithful.”

Researchers had participants evaluate hypothetical situations, involving one partner messaging someone else, on social media.

For each scenario, participants were concerned about the secrecy of the act, the frequency, and how well the partner knew the “rival.”  When a partner hides communication and knows the rival well, this is more likely to be seen as cheating.
