Former Packers QB Brett Favre Plays Defense Against Scandal Allegations
The New York Times points out a particularly grim irony in the scandal that has touched NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre

His charitable foundation, Favre4 Hope, is dedicated to helping groups which provide services to underserved and disabled children in Mississippi and Wisconsin.

But Favre is accused of receiving more than $1 million – which were misappropriated from Mississippi’s federally-funded, anti-poverty programs, for speeches he never gave.

Favre also is accused of seeking millions more, to build a volleyball stadium at his Mississippi alma mater.  The former QB for the Green Bay Packers has not been charged with any crime.  He denies knowing where the money was coming from.  There is evidence surfacing, to the contrary – such as court filings and his text messages.

He’s been suspended from his radio show and podcast – by SiriusXM and ESPN.

Eleven years ago, Favre was at the center of a “sexting” scandal, which allegedly took place while he was with the New York Jets.

  • Favre made $140 million playing football and more for endorsements.  Are you surprised that he is still out there trying to make money from any source?
  • Does this change your opinion of Favre?
  • Some outraged fans want him removed from the Hall of Fame.  Do you agree or disagree?
