Ford Motors is delaying the unveiling of its highly anticipated Bronco SUV lineup so it will not coincide with O.J. Simpson’s birthday. The initial release date was July 9, which the internet quickly pointed out was OJ Simpson’s birthday. OJ Simpson, of course, famously led police on a slow-speed chase in a white Ford Bronco, before being arrested for double homicide. Ford communications chief Mark Truby tweeted on Friday that the company will move the debut to July 13, saying, “The previous targeted date of July 9 unintentionally coincided with O.J. Simpson’s birthday. We wanted to be sensitive and respectful of this concern.” (Metro News)
