FDA Warns Against ‘Nature’s Ozempic’

The FDA warns about the potential dangers of a product billed as “Nature’s Ozempic.

The product is called Nuez da la India, sometimes sold as “diet seeds” or “India Nuts for Weight Loss,” and has been promoted on social media platforms.

But the feds say the product is made from seeds of the highly toxic yellow oleander plant.  It may trigger side effects, like diarrhea, vomiting, or potentially dangerous heart or abdominal issues.

At least one hospitalization has been reported, by someone who had been taking the seeds.
