WCCQ KID NEWS: Easter Bunny – Deemed An ‘Essential Worker’

BREAKING NEWS from the WCCQ Kid News Center…  I’m Maura Myles.

Don’t worry, kids:

This pandemic won’t keep the Easter Bunny from making its rounds this weekend!

Today (Monday), we have word from New Zealand, that prime minister Jacinda Arden has declared both the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy to be “essential workers,” who aren’t affected by the lockdown – or ordered to “shelter in place.

However, Arden does caution children that the Bunny is “quite busy” and “might not be able to visit every home this Easter,” at least not the regular way, perhaps.  She suggests that everyone help their neighbors this year, to creatively help the bunny, so that families who are hardest hit by the Corona virus still feel Easter love, with virtual Easter egg hunts, and such.

Here, in the WCCQ Kid News Center, we are hearing that announcements will be coming, from local leaders, as well as top executives, here in Illinois.  Stay tuned for updates!  ~ Maura Myles (Mo)  WCCQ Kid News
