Dolly Parton and Dionne Warwick Team Up for A Duet

Dolly Parton and Dionne Warwick are set to collaborate on a gospel song, “Peace Like a River,” which was written by Parton.

The story of the duet began when Parton reached out to Warwick.  Dionne explained that Dolly had pitched her one song, which she loved, and then a second song, which turns out to be the duet.

Dionne told Tamron Hall, “It’s a gospel song, called ‘Peace Like a River.  She wrote it.  And I am very excited about this.  I really am.  I’ve done so many duets over the years.  But this one’s gonna be very special… it is.”

There’s no word yet on when that collaboration will be available to fans.

Parton and Warwick have each seen resurgences in popularity over the past few years.  And both have gained new fan bases, on social media.

Warwick is the cousin of the late Whitney Houston, who had famously performed Parton’s “I Will Always Love You.”  It broke music chart records.
