DIERKS BENTLEY OPENS MASK DEBATE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Dierks Bentley asked fans to weigh in on the subject of kids wearing masks in schools in the wake of the latest Covid variant, Omicron. He posted a screenshot of a New York Times opinion piece called “Let Kids Take Their Masks Off After the Omicron Surge” on Instagram on Friday (January 28th) writing, “Right? Seems like common sense. Thoughts….. @nytimes”

On Saturday (January 29th), he posted another screenshot of a few quotes from the article including, “If we accept that we don’t want masks to be required in our schools forever, we have to decide when is the right time to remove them,” she said. “And that’s a conversation that we’re not really having.” He captioned it, “Now is the time for the conversation…. @nytimes”

Dierks had his fair share of supporters and those who thanked him for speaking up, while others expressed their disgust, even going so far as to say they were no longer fans.

This issue is pertinent to Dierks, who is a father of three school-age children.

In the meantime, his current single, “Beers on Me,” featuring Hardy and Breland, is a Top 15 and climbing on the country charts.
