The Cubs are saying farewell to Manager Joe Maddon after five seasons.  The club announced that they wouldn’t be offering Maddon a contract extension.  The decorated skipper had a successful tenure with the Cubs, including leading them to their first World Series championship in 108 years in 2016.  Maddon had a point-582 winning percentage with the Cubs and was named manager of the year in 2015, his first year with the franchise.  Rumor has it that former catcher David Ross may fill his shoes.
