A new study reveals that poultry such as chicken, turkey, and duck may be a better meat option over red meat which is believed to increase the risk of breast cancer.
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences reveals that in over 42,000 women 1,536 cases of invasive breast cancer were found in those that ate red meat.
Women who consumed a high amount of red meat had a 23 percent greater risk of breast cancer while poultry eater’s risk declined by 15 percent.
It is recommended that if you consume more than 90mg of red meat per day that you decrease it to 70mg or less in order to reduce your risk of breast cancer. Here’s the complete story from Independent.co.uk.
